But more importantly, what would Christmas Eve be without family?
Christmas Tradition: Try to somehow get everyone to wake-up and get in line from youngest to oldest while my mom films the room filled with presents!
Since Kayli and my mom could not be here, we pulled up a picture of them on the laptop and carried on to try to keep things normal.
Josh filmed in place of my mom and gave us the "okay" when we could finally run in to see our presents!
We look way excited to "finally" be running into the Christmas room. This is just an act, it wasn't our first time being in there all morning! Usually we weren't allowed to step foot in the "Christmas room" until my mom gave us the que, but since she wasn't here we hung out in the Christmas room before even lining up. What a bunch of cheaters right?
When I was a child it seemed that Christmas was the same every year & I loved it that way! But now that I'm older I realized that no matter what we do it's going to be different every year. We can't help that we have changed as life insists we do. We're growing people with different priorites and different lives. Which is probably a good thing, as hard as it is to admit. Is it not the whole purpose of our being? Anyways, Christmas was still so much fun even in it's all sorts of differentness.
